LEAP AFRICA EMPLOYABILITY PROGRAMME 2009

The Leap Africa/MICROSOFT  Employability Programme (Group10) held its session at the Domino City Church in the Ojota area of lagos.The programme took place between  Monday September 14 – Friday Sept. 18 2009. The Programme is one of the reason have been AWOL from the BLOG for a while. All in all the Leap Africa/MICROSFT Employability Programme is a worthwhile learning experience which i would recommend for anybody within the age  limit (16-35 years).

This programme is geared towards improving the employability of disadvantaged youths between the ages of 16 and 35. It equips them with life, employability, personal development and basic ICT skills. It is funded by Microsoft and the United States Government with the support of the International Youth Foundation.

The objectives of the LEAP AFRICA employability programme are to:

* Provide youths for the work place by equipping them with life and employability skills.
* Provide youth with crucial work based experiences within a youth development approach.
* Provide youth with an employment experience that puts them in touch with real  life labour expectations and practices.
* Provide youth with career instruction and greater awareness of support networks and various employment opportunities.

The LEAP AFRICA Employability Programme 2009 Calendar :

Lagos: October 5th- 9th, 2009

Lagos: October 26th- 30th, 2009

Lagos: November 23rd- 27th, 2009
